Blackwave. The project of Antwerp producer Willem Ardui and rapper Jay Walker brings you back to the earliest, most jazzy songs of The Roots, to Mos Def's worldstyle street soul and to the conscious hiphop funk of The Pharcyde. Youíll hear a nice shot of nineties, but the gentlemen translate this deliciously smooth groove smoothly to 2017 with their live band of jazz musicians from the Conservatory of Antwerp. Their first EP 'mic check' came out in May and was received extremely well by the Dutch and Belgian press.
